THE FOLLOWING INITIATIVES HAS BEEN DONE TO CONTROL THE RAISING RATIO OF OOSC / DROP OUT CHILDREN:
- Campaigns have been conducted through ASPIRE & DEEP in Umerkot, Tharparkar@Mithi, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Malir Karachi, Jamshoro, Naushahro Feroze, and Larkana for enrollment & retention of drop out / Out of School Children during the year 2022-23.
- Temporary closed schools are being opened by posting newly recruited teachers.
- Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Islamabad has already requested to include the information regarding out of school children / drop out, during the digital survey 2022-23.
- Radio Messages (Urdu & Sindhi) have also been broadcasted for the importance of education in ASPIRE lagging districts i.e Umerkot, Tharparkar@Mithi, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad districts and the same will be replicated in the districts to provide awareness up to gross routes level for enrollment & retention of drop out / Out of School Children.
- It is felt that the reason for OOSC and drop out is unavailability of the next level of schools, hence government is going for up-gradation of schools which is under process.
- Annual Census 2021-22 of government school & Private Schools has been done to know the exact number of children currently enrolled in private education throughout the province.
Following activities are under process:
- Bidding documents for Radio messages & SMS are under process (ASPIRE) during the year 2023-24.
- Bidding documents for Radio messages & SMS are under process (DEEP) during the year 2023-24.
- Data integration system is in the planning phase.
- Madaris Census will be carried out soon to know the exact number of children currently enrolled in Madaris throughout the province.
- Polio Census / Survey will be carried out soon to know the exact number of children currently enrolled in private education throughout the province and how many are out of school.
